Constantin Carseli, MD
Dr. Carseli is originally from Romania and graduated from Carol Davilla University School of Medicine in
Bucharest, Romania. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center,
followed by fellowship specialty training in Endocrinology and Diabetes at UMDNJ University Hospital in
Newark, NJ.
He has been providing endocrinology care to patients in Eastern Connecticut since 2002. Dr. Carseli is
member of Endocrine Society and also Fellow of American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. He is ABIM
Board Certified in Endocrinology.
Dr. Carseli treats a large array of endocrine conditions, such as diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal and
pituitary disorders, hypogonadism, osteoporosis, and many others. He has a special interest in diagnosing,
treating and monitoring patients with thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer. He is certified by the American
College of Endocrinology to perform and interpret thyroid ultrasound, as well as thyroid fine needle
aspiration biopsies. Dr. Carseli has had great success in treating patients with diabetes using the most
up-to- date- therapies available, including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems.
Under his care, the patients greatly improve their diabetes control and achieve target Hemoglobin A1C
levels.
He lives in southeastern Connecticut with his wife and two children. He enjoys cooking and has a great
passion for the outdoors.
